We offer delicious tasty local food in delightful environments
The food on your Walk Andalucia holiday is fantastic and our guests tell us that this is one of the highlights of their holiday with us.
The Plaza de la Constitucion - in the centre of Torrox is perfect for al fresco eating with lots of tables and chairs and cafes and bars.
"The meals were very good... The focus on local establishments in Torrox is good and creates a very pleasant environment."
"We enjoyed that most of the meals have been included. It is easier this way and we get to try many different foods"
The meals were excellent and varied and I don't feel there is any need for improvement"
A highlight of any Paint Andalucia holiday is the Andalucia feast at Maria's cortijo in the hills. Enjoy local dishes such as sopa de mariscos (shell fish soup), berenjenas con miel (aubergines with sugar cane), tortilla espagnol con patatas (Spanish omelette with potatoes); patatas al pobre (poor men's potatoes)and much more. And, of course the aperitif vino de terrazo when you arrive is very welcome.
Vegetarians are always catered for
A highlight of the Walk Andalucia experience is the vegetarian banquet provided by Corinne (sample menu) at your hosts' finca in the hills above Torrox.
Los Cantares
On of our favourite eating places - good choice of home made cooking with very friendly service.
Particularly good are the sopa del mariscos and the patatas al pobre. You must try them!
*(please note - this service is only available from May to October)
Casa Cebadillas -A Unique Dining Experience in Torrox Pueblo
On your rest day and exclusively through Walk Andalucía, your hosts, Arthur and Christopher, will explain how each dish is prepared and give you the opportunity to assist in the cooking of the paella. Guests enjoy a traditional Andalucia luncheon served on a private terrace overlooking the countryside, village and sea.
This is a wonderful opportunity for a small number of guests eager to share in the food, wine, and culture of one of Spain's most diverse and vibrant regions of Andalucía.
