Andalucia is one of the warmest regions of Europe. It has a temperate, Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild winters with irregular rainfall.
The areas where our walks are situated offer varied terrain, wonderful views of the coasts and the mountains and a variety of flora and fauna. The area is particularly known for the wide variety of orchids growing on the hillsides.
This is a most beautiful part of Spain, with a view of spectacular mountain areas, comprising of terraced hillsides and fertile, well-watered valleys. It has orchards of orange and olive trees watered by a unique Moorish irrigation system that was developed over a thousand years ago.
